TOUCH & OZTAG
DEVELOPMENT
Led by a Sydney CC Premier Cricketer and a NPL footballer — both with elite-level team support experience in NSW Touch. Built around the repeated sprint, agility, and evasion demands of the fastest amateur field sports in Australia.
Built for the demands of touch & oztag.
Touch and Oztag look easy until you watch them at rep level. They're sports of max-intensity sprints with near-zero recovery, constant change of direction, and evasion skills that separate the quick from the brilliant. Generic fitness work doesn't prepare young athletes for what these sports actually demand.
Touch and Oztag are won by the fastest players on the park. Top-end sprint speed development through specific acceleration work, top-speed drills, and the technical sprint mechanics that separate rep-level players from the rest.
One sprint is nothing. Ten sprints with 20 seconds rest across a 40-minute match is the real demand. Conditioning that builds the repeat-sprint engine actually used in touch and oztag — not generic aerobic work.
Beating defenders comes down to lateral speed, deceleration, and the ability to change direction under fatigue. Agility programming that reflects touch and oztag's actual evasion demands — step, swerve, and accelerate.
Repeated max-effort sprints are the highest-risk movement for hamstring injury. Specific eccentric hamstring work, adductor strength, and soft tissue preparation — the preventative foundation for an uninterrupted season.
